2024 Singapore Communications Expo
Held in Singapore as one of Asia's key platforms for digital transformation and technological innovation, the Singapore Communications Fair covers a wide range of communication areas, it includes mobile communication, network infrastructure, artificial intelligence, Internet of things, cloud computing and so on. Exhibitors showcased the latest communications technologies, Solutions and products at the exhibition, providing the impetus for the development of the communications industry.

Core customers from home and abroad—including top-tier communication operators, large-scale data center service providers, intelligent manufacturing equipment manufacturers, and government-led infrastructure project contractors—streamed in continuously, making the booth a focal point of the exhibition. The staff greeted each visitor with detailed product brochures and guided them through dynamic demonstrations: the low-loss G.654.E optical fiber was connected to a real-time transmission test platform, showing a signal attenuation coefficient as low as 0.18dB/km (25% lower than the industry average); the high-purity optical preform, with a purity of 99.999%, was displayed alongside its production process video, highlighting its stability in extreme environments. Addressing customers’ key concerns such as "long-distance transmission signal attenuation", "adaptation to -40℃~85℃ extreme temperature and humidity", "bulk supply lead time under tight schedules", and "cost optimization for large-scale projects", the technical team retrieved measured data from past benchmark projects (e.g., a national backbone network construction project and a cross-border data center link upgrade project) on-site. Using side-by-side chart comparisons, on-site simulation tests, and case breakdowns, they detailed the customization process—from demand assessment and parameter adjustment to sample production and on-site debugging—enabling customers to visualize how the products solve their pain points.
During the exchanges, customers actively unfolded their needs and pain points: A leading domestic communication operator, which is advancing a provincial-level 5G base station expansion project covering 12 cities, put forward an urgent requirement of "completing the supply of 50,000 sets of optical fiber components within 3 months" and emphasized the need for synchronous on-site installation guidance. Both parties immediately convened a small-scale negotiation meeting, verified product technical parameters, production capacity allocation, and after-sales support plans item by item, initially finalizing the sample testing schedule (to start within 1 week) and a framework for bulk procurement with an intended value exceeding 8 million yuan. A cross-border data center service provider with nodes in Southeast Asia and Europe focused on the optical link upgrade of its overseas computer rooms, prioritizing inquiries about international certifications (such as CE, FCC) of the products, cross-border logistics timeliness (requiring delivery within 15 working days), and localized after-sales response (on-site maintenance within 48 hours in key regions). The team presented complete certification documents and cooperative logistics partners’ resources on-site, and the two parties signed a preliminary cooperation intention letter, agreeing to launch a pilot project in Thailand’s Bangkok node first. Additionally, three intelligent manufacturing equipment manufacturers focused on technological innovation, proposing joint R&D needs for "low-power optical communication modules for industrial control systems". They conducted in-depth discussions with Jinlong Optoelectronics’ R&D team on performance indicators, cost control targets, and patent sharing mechanisms, and clarified a three-stage docking plan: technical plan confirmation within 2 weeks, prototype development within 1 month, and small-batch trial production within 3 months.
To enhance communication efficiency, the booth set up three functional areas: a product demonstration area, a technical consultation area, and a private negotiation area. The private negotiation area was equipped with electronic signing equipment and project data terminals, allowing customers with clear intentions to review contract drafts and sign cooperation memorandums on-site—during the 3-day exhibition, a total of 5 cooperation memorandums and 8 preliminary intention letters were signed. For potential customers who had not yet...
